The University of Mobile Opera Theatre presented Johann Strauss’ comic masterpiece Die Fledermaus (or The Bat in German) at the Chickasaw Civic Theatre on February 16th and 17th. Originally written in German, the production was performed in English, featuring student singers and a mix of student and professional orchestra members, led by Maestro Robert Seebacher, music director and conductor of the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra in Tennessee and the Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra.
