The Rocket City Titans are proud to announce that the Premier South Football League (the home of the Titans for the past 2 seasons) merged with the Elite Football League last Saturday in Atlanta, Georgia, to form the National Football Association. The executive board of the PSFL and the EFL came to terms for merger with the help of a 3rd party administrator, the “Scouting Bureau of America.” The newly formed association engulfs 12 returning teams from the PSFL and 22 teams from the EFL, giving them a strong roster of 34 teams throughout the southeastern United States. The league will cap out in 2012 at 48 teams. The states involved are Louisiana Alabama Mississippi Tennessee Georgia Florida South Carolina Arkansas The NFA will be under the leadership of the league CEO, Phil Lytle, the current owner of the Ashville Grizzles of South Carolina. Mr. Lytle has over 30 years experience in Semi-Professional football and the NFA is honored to have him. Hank Vicknair was elected as the Commissioner of the NFA, governing the 2 conferences. Hank was the previous director of the PSFL and was the obvious choice for the commissioner seat. Previously Hank was the director of officials for the Louisiana High School Athletic Association, and he will also serve as the Director of Officials for the NFA.
